I’ve worked as a lab assistant at the California Nanosystems Institute at UCSB since 2023. At CNSI, I’ve worked with student researchers to design and manufacture test equipment. This experience has made me proficient with various 3D printers, laser cutters, Waterjet Cutting, and CNC/Manual Machining. Here are some projects I’ve worked on:
Custom Silicon Wafer Abrasion Tool
Researchers in the physics and mechanical engineering department need certain geometries cut into silicon wafers. Working with my coworkers, we were able to attach a dental abrasion tool to a CNC gantry to abrade custom shapes.
